How much do custom fitted hats cost at 48 and 144 pieces?

A custom cap price is three lines: the blank, the decoration per cap, and one-time digitizing. Battle Born Clothing publishes the decoration tiers and the Richardson 112 blank; Flexfit, YP and New Era blanks are quoted per job. Here is the math.

The blank

The Richardson 112 blank is $13.50 on this site. Flexfit, YP Classics, Zapped and New Era blanks are quoted per job because supplier cost varies by style and color and brand pricing applies; quotes usually come back the same business day. Blank price does not change with quantity on our side.

Why 144 is the number to hit

Flat embroidery drops from $6.50 to $5.00 per cap between 48 and 144, and patch from $7.00 to $5.00. On 144 caps that is a $216.00 difference in decoration alone. If you are at 120, ask for the 144 price; it is often cheaper in total.

Questions

Is there a price for one sample cap?

Yes: the 12-23 decoration tier plus the blank plus digitizing. The digitizing carries into the production run.

Do mixed colors change the price?

No, as long as the logo and thread colors stay the same.

Does a 2-color logo cost more?

Not for embroidery. Thread changes are free; stitch count sets the price.
